Some problem to download the dictionary back after last update.

The download of the latest version never progress. Please fix the issue because it makes the app inaccessible.

Since the last two updates, i have to redownload all sentences again and again once the application is terminated. I paid for the application and now this :( It worked just fine before update, what was the purpose of this update, to make it worse ? Argh Please fix it.

This obsession with monetizing everything has made its way to Oxford. What else is new? I can’t restore my purchase. They made something that should be easy as pie into rocket science. It’s not about learning anymore, its all about making you spend your money. It’s everywhere, it’s pervasive. And at Oxford, it is yet another scar on the face of knowledge.

After the new version, which noone needed, the dictionary cant download although the reactivation process was successful. It’s been several hours and it is simply stuck. I’ve rerun it several times. Same result. And i use this dictionary for my work every day. Now i’m without this very useful tool thanks to stupid developers who decided to attach unwanted features to what used to be the best dictionary for mac. Totally disappointed!

I purchased previous version of this and now It doesnt allow me to use it but requires to re-purchase everything again. Moreover it just stucks on clickin "buy"...loading forever. After the update, which must have been fixed the issue, nothing fixed! the same issue.

Be aware that the new version (8.6.946) released on January 17, 2017 as of today January 19, 2017 CANNOT BE DOWNLOADED. I have two licenses for this dictionary on two different AppStore accounts but neither could be downloaded. It might be having issues with OS Sierra. Whatever it is, DO NOT UPDATE unless you have a copy of your older version. If you get stuck like me you can always go back to the old version. Forewarned is forearmed! PS: I’ll surely change my rating once they solve the issue. SECOND REVIEW The above-mentioned issue was solved in version 8.7.21 released today (January 25, 2017). I could finally download and use my dictionary. I just wonder why the publisher releases a software without first testing it properly and causes so much havoc! This time I give it 4 stars (-1 star for one week of ordeal I had to go through!).

This mac vesion leaves much to be desired compared to the full windows version or even the ios version. For one there seems to lack British pronounciation for example sentences, which is a huge setback in practicing intonation when you learn a new vocabulary. As other reviews mentioned, the genie function is also missing. I think I will try to get a refund as this is practically a pain to use for my purpose, sorry.

With the new update my dictionary became demo version and I am not able to restore my purchase back!!!!

After attempting to update my previously purchased dictionary I am now left with the demo version not able to download its full version. Great disappointment!

hhh Prievously I used it preety good, but I can’t download after recent update for more than one week. Why you not adjust and fix this problem ASAP?

I can not download it!!!!! And I do not know why I lost the old version… This is really an unacceptable thing.

I have purchased it a few years ago and it has been working anyhow till this update. After upgrading the app yesterday, it doesn’t download and it takes forever. In my case, I have kept my macbook pro 15 on the whole night and its download progress didn’t move a pixel forward. Why we can’t simply download it from the app store with all of its data?

Very useful dictionnary, including tools to perform our research. Nonetheless, with the new option on El Capitan, Splitview, the window of this dictionnary canot be reduced. In other word, if we split the view between Safari and Oxford. 70% of the screen is taken by the dictionary, it should the converse. Please, it is possible to change this issue?

I like this dictionery, because of the greate search engine, prononciation, simple examples, and meaning of the words. I’m still wating for the edition of 9, because of improving the legebelety of text.
